Almedahls Surt Sa Räven Scandinavian Fabric

Almedahls Surt Sa Räven Scandinavian Fabric

In brief

Surt Sa Räven, translated literally means, sour said the fox. You know it's going to be an interesting fabric with a name like that!

This fabulous large Scandinavian print designed by Kerstin Boulogner in the 1950's, is as fresh and modern today as it was then. Makes striking curtains and blinds or use a panel to create a piece of wall art.

In 1846 Hans H Wesslau started producing linen fabrics in Örgryte outside Gothenburg. The factory got its name from his daughter Alma, and still today the name of the district is Almedal. Through the years Almedahls has collaborated with a number of well-known designers and created many classic fabric designs that have decorated castles to cabins. Their aim is to carry forward knowledge and handicraft traditions from times past to future generations.

All Almedahls fabrics are still screen printed in Sweden.
