This is our classic bearded tomte made with a wooden frame. He has a tangled felted wool hat and a long beard made with genuine grey Gotland or white Icelandic sheepskin.
Every 30 cm tomte is handmade in Örnaholm, Sweden, and is totally unique.

"Hey!
I am tomte also known as the Christmas gnome. I live in the woods or under the floorboards of a farmers barn and although I am very shy, I deliver presents to all the children at Christmas time. I am about three feet tall and can be a bit grumpy and secretive. I don't come down the chimney, I just walk through the front door. I love to be left a bowl of porridge on Christmas Eve, even better if it has a pat of butter on the top. In Denmark and Norway I am known as Nisse and in Finland, Tonntu.
If I come to your house please straighten my hat and brush my beard a little, I love to look good and it tickles.
