Felting wool is a very old technique which is older than both spinning and weaving. Felted materials are extremely durable and insulating, making them perfect for pot stands, placemats and coasters.

These trivets and coasters are made using only Swedish wool, mostly from Öland and other parts of southern Sweden. The wool is carefully sorted according to quality and characteristics. Only the softest and cleanest wools are selected. After sorting, the wool is carefully washed in a way that is not harmful to the environment.

Swedish wool has a very high quality compared to industrially prepared foreign wool. Swedish wool is strong with long and glossy fibres. To use the wool from Swedish sheep also helps to keep the land clear of shrubs as they graze.
