Simple yet playful, the new mello coral cushion from Swedish company Spira, came about when design duo Emma Von Brömssen & Linda Brink were exploring the origins of Lapplandian handicrafts. The wave-shape comes from the trimmings that typically adorned the Sami folk costumes, although we know it better as ric rac, the little wavy braid that was sewn on to a variety of garments in the 1970's.
