Kay Bojesen Denmark Painted Hippo

Kay Bojesen’s many figures are popular with children and adults alike, and this one is no exception.

The original beech hippo from 1955 was designed to sit on Kay Bojesen's desk to hold his pencil, and this charming updated version keeps up the tradition.

This beechwood hippo is a little larger than the original and is painted with blackboard paint, ready for you to write messages, little notes or use it as a desktop checklist. A piece of white chalk is provided in the box.

The Hippo is sure to become a classic that will accompany its owner throughout life’s journey.
