Bring on the winter weather, these Öjbro merino wool mittens will keep your hands toasty warm even through the chilliest of winters.

Åse and Ted Öjbro knit their mittens using traditional Swedish folk patterns and colours. Inside they are insulated with three separate layers, one being Thinsulate, a super warm patented material.

It's difficult to convey just how warm these Skaftö Snö mittens really are, but once our customers pop them on in our shop they are sold!

One mitten features a tiny yellow warning triangle - "Varning: Varma Vantar!" - "Warning: Warm Mittens!"

The striking Skaftö design is inspired by the fishermen of Skaftö, an island north of Gothenburg famous for its fishing industry.

The Nordic people have been knitting mittens for centuries, the earliest sign of knitting dates back to the 13th century. 

Åse and Ted Öjbro are passionate about keeping the traditional art of jacquard knitting alive. Their striking designs are steeped in tradition, folklore and history.
