Olle Eksell Alphabet Poster

Eksell Display is a unique typeface from 1962.

Olle was a prolific artist who couldn’t resist sketching out whatever ideas came to mind. His work covered a broad range, but this was the only complete typeface.

The letters were drawn by hand in Olle’s studio in Stockholm, six years after he designed the classic Mazetti eyes.

Poster size 50 x 70 cm.

Olle Eksell was born in 1918 in Kopparberg, Sweden. He was the creative designer ahead of his time. This could be seen in the famous eyes of cacao, which was part of Sweden’ s first design program that Olle designed for Mazetti.

The Eksell couple lived in their apartment in Gärdet, Stockholm for more than 40 years. It was here, in a five square metre studio, that Olle created and designed Sweden’s well-known programmes for Mazetti and Nessim.

Olle was the creator/designer who loved his work and who never stopped creating. He continued to work until his death in 2007.
