Hans Bølling created Discus in 1961. Brought back to life by ArchitectMade, these striking hand painted pinewood birds are shaped like an ancient Greek discus.
The painted parts represent the colourful plumage of the bird, whereas the chest of the bird remains unpainted; revealing the natural qualities and grain of the wood.
The Discus birds come in a family consisting of four members, choose your favourite, or line up the whole family for a dramatic display.
The finishing touch - Hans Bølling's signature is engraved on the underside of each bird.
