Åse and Ted Öjbro knit their mittens using traditional Swedish folk patterns and colours. Inside they are insulated with three separate layers, one being Thinsulate, a super warm patented material.

This pattern is inspired by Gotland, Sweden ́s largest Island, occupied since prehistory and home to the Gotland pony called “Gotlands Russ”. Wild horses have lived in the forest regions of the island of Gotland from time immemorial.
