Åse and Ted Öjbro knit their irresistibly cosy socks using traditional Swedish colours and patterns. The Lycksele design is named after the municipality of the same name in Västerbotten County in Swedish Lapland.

The Nordic people have been knitting socks and mittens for centuries, the earliest sign of knitting dates back to the 13th century.
Åse and Ted Öjbro produce their beautiful knitwear in Ulricehamn, Västergötland, Sweden. They are passionate about keeping the traditional art of jacquard knitting alive. Their striking designs are steeped in tradition and history yet fit into any modern-day wardrobe.
Åse Öjbro took inspiration for the intricate red and grey Lycksele design from a traditional Laplandian folk pattern. Ted, the other half of the talented duo, just had to work out how to knit this intricate pattern and create the socks - as always they are a triumph!
