Arabia Moomin Mug - Winter Wonders 2022

Finnish brand Arabia produce a special Moomin mug every winter.

The design for their seasonal winter 2022 mug is taken from Tove Jansson's 1955 comic strip story series Moomin's Winter Follies.

In this delightful scene Mr. Brisk has arrived in Moomin Valley and is encouraging the residents to try different winter sports. Some members of the Moomin family are better at ice skating than others!

Children and adults alike fall in love with the sympathetic characters of Moomin Valley as created by the author Tove Jansson. The Arabia artist Tove Slotte-Elevant has designed the delightful Moomin objects in keeping with the original drawings. Tove has completed the drawings that were limited by cartoon frames, added the measurements to suit mugs, plates and bowls, and when necessary, she has drawn missing characters.

The Moomins have always been close to Tove Slotte's heart, in her own words, " I think everyone should enjoy a little dose of Moomin philosophy everyday".
