Ingunn Birkeland is an Oslo-based fashion designer known for her unique handmade woven square patterns in combination with her very own specific palette of pastels and fabulous fluorescing colours.  

The striking City pure wool mint throw is skilfully woven by Røros Tweed in Norway. The result is a super-soft, vibrant blanket that infuses any living space with a burst of colour and warmth.

Selected wool from Norwegian sheep, combined with collaboration with leading Scandinavian designers and textile artists, has made Røros Tweed one of the most reputable producers of 100% Norwegian-made brands.

Røros, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was once a mining town 600 meters above sea level. The valuable copper discovery brought wealth to some but left many in poverty. When Peder Hiort, the mine's director, passed away in 1789, he left his fortune to a foundation supporting textile education and providing raw materials to the poor. This legacy laid the foundation for Røros Tweed, a tradition of handcraft and textile production. In 1940, Røros Tweed became a sales outlet for exquisite handmade textiles.
