When the air turns chilly, cosy up with Lapuan Kankurit's Jäkälä hot water bottle.
Crafted in Finland from 100% wool and paired with a German Fashy hot water bottle, the grey Jäkälä hottie (Finnish for lichen) is the perfect companion for cold weather.
Beyond its delightful design, this hottie brings numerous benefits. From soothing aching muscles to relieving everyday stress, it provides incredible relaxation after a demanding day. Not only does it ensure a night of warm, restful sleep, but it also offers comforting relief during times of illness.
Once upon a time, there was a man named Juho Annala. The Ostrobothnian winters were freezing cold, so Juho decided to open a wool and felt boot factory in Lankilankoski. He worked so hard that year that he did not realise how important it would turn out to be: it was 1917, and in December an independent nation called Finland would be born. The years went by, the wool textiles sold well and children were born.
Nearly a hundred years later, Lapuan Kankurit is a family business that weaves Finnish quality. Felt boots have been replaced by linen, but the idea is the same: to do it right from the beginning and only the best is good enough. Each woven metre of fabric tells a story of Finnish handicraft.
